Welcome to Gaffer. These Terms govern your use of the platform. By creating an account you agree to these Terms.

1. Alpha status

Gaffer is currently in closed alpha. The service runs on Starknet Sepolia (a public test network). Any tokens used on the platform are testnet tokens and have no monetary value. Features, data, and accounts may be reset without notice during alpha.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. One account per person.

3. What you can do

Create and join fantasy contests, set lineups, customize rules, and invite friends. Play fair. Don't use bots, multiple accounts, or exploit bugs. Don't post content that is illegal, harassing, or violates someone else's rights.

4. Contests of skill

Fantasy contests on Gaffer are contests of skill. Entry is voluntary. Where future paid contests are offered, they will operate under applicable law in the jurisdictions we serve and be subject to additional terms disclosed at the point of entry.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create (league names, rules, invitations, messages). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to display that content to other participants of the contests you create.

6. Our platform

The Gaffer brand, software, design, and content we create remain our property. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the platform without written permission.

7. Termination

You can close your account any time from settings. We can suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are engaged in fraud, abuse, or illegal activity.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” during alpha. We don't guarantee uptime, accuracy of third-party data feeds, or that the platform is free of bugs. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you will not exceed the amounts you have paid to us in the last 12 months (which, during alpha, is zero).

9. Changes

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email and surfaced in-app before they take effect.
